Hair loss, also known as alopecia, is caused by an interruption in the body's hair production cycle. Whether due to the natural course of aging, genetic predisposition, medical reasons, or other factors, when a person experiences unexpected hair loss and excessive hair thinning, they have various advanced and minimally-invasive hair restoration options.
There are numerous diseases that can affect the hair and scalp. Hair loss can be caused by a variety of conditions. Diseases such as alopecia areata, anemia, male/female pattern baldness, and infections of the scalp can all cause significant difficulty and loss of daily well-being. Most hair loss problems lies underneath the scalp and can only be seen through a microscopic analysis. Our microscopic analysis allows us to see the reproducing matrix of hair cells which allows us to identify common root problems, such as chemical inflammation from perms, hair color/relaxers, DHT enzyme symptoms, sebum build-up, dirt and styling product build-up and lack of hair nutrition.
Reports suggest that Androgenetic alopecia, or male/female pattern baldness, is the most common type of progressive hair loss disorder. The most common non-surgical treatment options to cure androgenetic alopecia in men and women include dutasteride, finasteride, low-level laser therapy (LLLT), minoxidil, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Patient results show LLLT as the most effective treatment. They also prove that PRP, finasteride, minoxidil, and dutasteride are very effective in increasing the hair count following treatment.
